I went to my sorority's bid day to take pictures for them! There is a photographer that's assigned to each house that takes pictures for them, but you have to pay for those picture and mine are free! I took about 140 pictures so it's hard to narrow it down to just a few that I want to put on here! I love ALL of my sisters so much and it was awesome to see them so happy and to see a new group of Chi O owls join the family!

Dogs
So I know I already posted once today, but I just took these photos of my neighbors two dogs and I wanted to post them! They're not the most in focus picture, but these pups are so cute that I'm posting them anyway. They're Samoyeds and it is their mission in life to make anyone that walks in front of their yard pet them and play with them. Clearly I oblige.

Jarcakes
So, last week I made some rainbow cake in mason jars for the girls in my Fusion group. They turned out really pretty!

Days 5&6: from a high angle and a low angle
Ok, this first one isn't really from that high of an angle. It's really from the top of a hill in my neighborhood and it's the best I could do. I wanted to climb a tree, but there are no good climbing trees nearby, plus there was a lot of debris around because of the tropical depression. The second picture I took from the floor while Max was on the couch.

Day 4: Something green
I go to Starbucks everyday, so I thought that my something green would be the Starbucks logo and straw. The drink is an iced caramel macchiato. I'm ready for cooler weather when I will switch to a toffee nut latte.
Day 3: Clouds
Well, today I was supposed to photograph some clouds, but the weather decided to be very uncooperative. The sky was the same monotone shade of foggy grey all day. I'm not really complaining, it wasn't as hot that way. So, as a substitute I present you with a photo I took of some clouds earlier in the summer. I also want to include the two pictures I took tonight of the War Eagle cupcake I got from Gigi's. I love college football, WDE!

Day 2: what I wore today
Not a very interesting photo, but here it is. I had greater plans for this one. I was going to hang my dress outside by the porch swing and photograph in the natural light, but that didn't happen. Something even better happened! I got to spend some time with one of my best friends, Katie. She moved to D.C. after we graduated and she was in Birmingham today, so she swung by my house to visit! By the time she left I had to change and go to work and when I got home it was dark. As I say, though, not complaining. I would rather spend time with my good friend than get a slightly more interesting photo of my clothes.

Day 1: Self-portrait
I'm going to admit I had a hard time with this one. My camera isn't the kind you can stretch out in front of your face a take a picture of yourself with...and I didn't want to do that anyway. So, my only option was the 10 second timer. The trouble is, I was trying to focus the camera on a subject that wasn't in the frame yet. I tried putting things where I was going to sit and focusing on that, but that didn't work. So most of the shots I got of myself were blurry and out of focus, but random stuff like the chairs around me were in focus. There are a couple of more opportunities for self-portrait in the challenge, so I will doing some reading on the best way to tackle them. For now, I managed to get one shot where I wasn't completely out of focus (granted, I did cut the top of my head off). I chose to cover up the bottom half of my face because I wanted my eyes to be the focus. I chose Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to do the covering because I love Harry Potter and I like the colors on this particular volume.
