New Website

Hello friends! So after a lot of thought and consideration, I have decided to try to start making money from my photography. It's always nice to have a little extra money and I'm starting to become confident enough in my skills to begin marketing them. I spent most of my spring break coming up with a new name for my business, designing a new website, and researching what all I would need to do to become a legitimate photography business. My next step is to obtain a business license, but for now I just wanted to post here that I will be putting my picture in a new place, a blogsite. My new name is Hazy Skies Photography. Here are the last pictures I will post on this blog as an official part of my business...my new DIY business cards that I am in the process of making!

I FINALLY got a good picture of Mocha. I guess she's become desensitized to my scary camera. It only took ten months. Mrow.

Spring Break on the lake

So one of the perks of being a teacher is that you get a Spring Break (albeit, I don't get paid for a week). Well, I had great plans to utilize my break by going to the beach or something, but that didn't happen (too expensive). Instead, my friends and I decided we would go to one of our lakehouses for a day. I would not have objected to staying longer than a day, but they don't have jobs that give them spring breaks. So we headed out there yesterday morning and spent the day lying in the sun and we came back this morning. Obviously I took my camera to document our fun sunny time and we ended up taking over 100 pictures! That's only a tad excessive, right? I won't post all 100, but here are some of my favorites! I even got some sunflare shots, which are pretty much my favorite shots.

My sweet goddaughter, Virginia, turned 7 today! I hope she's had a wonderful birthday!! I love you, Virginia!!

Ok, so I know it's been foreeeeeeeeeever since I last posted on this blog, which has really turned into a semi-personal blog disguised a photoblog, which I'm ok with. Anyways, I took A LOT of pictures during the Christmas season and a lot of stuff happened. One of my best friends got married, another one of my best friends got engaged, and I got a new job (that I love!)! Basically, this post is going to have a lot of pictures. Everything from Peyton's Christmas shoot, to Maria's bridesmaids luncheon, to Christmas decorations, to downtown Homewood holiday open house, to Maria's bachelorette party in Memphis (not necessarily in that order). Get ready for it...here they are!
